What the customer reported
Ignition had become unreliable enough that the household was working around it. On a range used daily, that is usually months of gradual decline rather than a sudden failure.
What we found
The igniters had aged past reliable light-off. Everything upstream — gas supply, module, switches — was working normally.
What we did
Replaced the igniters and tested every position on the cooktop, including the grill section, which runs hotter and tends to age its igniters first.
Why this happens
A grill section is the hardest-working part of a professional range. Its igniters see more heat and more grease than the standard burners next to them, so they are usually the first to go.
