What we collect
When you book a repair
Booking runs through Workiz, our scheduling system, inside a window embedded on our booking page. What you type there — name, phone, service address, appliance details, description of the problem — goes to Workiz and to us. Workiz processes it under its own privacy policy as our service provider.
When you call or text
We keep a record of the conversation details needed to schedule and complete the work: your name, phone number, service address and what the appliance is doing. If you text us a photo of a model plate, we keep that photo with the job record.

Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser. We do not use advertising cookies or retargeting pixels on this site. If we ever add them, this page will say so before they go live.
Maps and reviews
Pages that show our service area embed a Google Maps window, and our reviews link to Yelp. Loading a map means Google receives the request; opening a review link takes you to Yelp. Both operate under their own policies once you interact with them.
What we do with it
- Call or text you back about the request you sent us
- Schedule the visit, bring the right parts, and complete the repair
- Invoice the work and honor the one-year limited warranty on it
- Understand which pages of this site actually help people, in aggregate
- Meet tax, accounting and warranty record-keeping obligations
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. We do not send marketing texts or newsletters — if you hear from us, it is about your specific job.
Calls and text messages
When you give us your number by phone or text us, you are asking us to contact you back at that number. We use it for that — to reach you about your repair, confirm appointments, and let you know when a technician is on the way. Standard message and data rates from your carrier apply.
To stop hearing from us, say so on a call, reply STOP to a text, or email help@seattle-subzeroviking.com. We will stop, except where we still need to reach you about work already in progress.
Who else sees it
Only the companies that make the service run, and only for that purpose:
- Workiz — scheduling, job records and invoicing
- Google (Analytics, Tag Manager, Maps) — site measurement and maps
- Our hosting provider — server logs and email delivery
- Parts suppliers — only the model and serial number of your appliance when ordering a part, never your contact details
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.
How long we keep it
- Inquiries that do not become jobs — up to 12 months, then deleted
- Completed job records — 7 years, because of tax and warranty obligations
- Analytics data — 14 months, the retention we set in Google Analytics
- Server logs — as retained by our hosting provider, typically a few weeks
Your choices
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email help@seattle-subzeroviking.com or call (425) 333-3988 and we will handle it within 45 days. We will not treat you differently for asking.
Deletion has one limit: records tied to a completed repair have to stay for the tax and warranty periods above. If your appliance is still under our warranty, deleting the record would also end our ability to honor it.
To stop analytics specifically, use Google's opt-out browser add-on, or block cookies for this site in your browser. Nothing on the site stops working if you do.
If you are a California resident, the rights described here are the ones the CCPA gives you — access, deletion, correction, and no sale of your data, which we do not do in any case.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS, and booking data goes directly to Workiz over an encrypted connection. This site itself stores nothing about you — it has no forms and no database. No system is perfect, and we would rather say that plainly than promise otherwise.
Children
This site is for people arranging appliance repair, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child sent us something, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change how we handle information, we update this page and the date below. Material changes — new tracking, new recipients of your data — will be described here before they take effect.
